Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Oppenheimer, has been a box office success, but fans shouldn’t expect any deleted scenes in the bonus features.

In an interview with Collider, Cillian Murphy, who plays J. Robert Oppenheimer in the movie, confirmed that there are no deleted scenes in Oppenheimer.

According to Murphy, Christopher Nolan doesn’t include deleted scenes in his films because he believes that the script is the essence of the movie. Nolan prefers to keep the story intact and doesn’t want to change it.

Nolan himself has previously explained his approach to deleted scenes, stating that he strives to make his scripts as tight as possible to avoid shooting scenes that won’t make it into the final film. This dedication to efficiency is why there are usually very few deleted scenes in his movies.

Furthermore, Murphy praised Nolan’s way of working with actors, giving them the freedom to explore and find the best performance for each scene. Nolan’s ability to provide precise and impactful notes is a testament to his genius as a director.

In addition, Nolan has expressed his preference for avoiding ADR (Automatic Dialogue Replacement) in his films, even if it means that some dialogue may be difficult to hear.

Oppenheimer has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing $500 million at the global box office, further cementing its success.
