After much anticipation, Disney is finally releasing select seasons of its popular Marvel and Star Wars shows on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Fans can look forward to the first seasons of Loki, WandaVision, and Star Wars: The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 being available on physical media. These releases will feature each episode in 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray formats, and they will come with collectible concept art cards, exclusive bonus feature content, and special steelbook packaging designed by Attila Szarka.
Although details about the bonus features for WandaVision and The Mandalorian have yet to be revealed, there is more information available about the Loki Season 1 release. In addition to the complete season on Blu-ray, the steelbook case, and the bonus concept art cards, the Loki Season 1 release will include deleted scenes, a gag reel, and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
The release dates for the Blu-ray sets will be staggered, starting with Loki on September 26, followed by WandaVision on November 28. The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 will be released separately on December 12. Preorders for all four steelbook sets will begin on August 28.
The timing of these Blu-ray releases couldn’t be better. Loki Season 2 is set to premiere on October 6, and a WandaVision spin-off is currently in development, along with various other Marvel TV series. While it may be some time before the fourth season of The Mandalorian arrives, fans can look forward to the upcoming Star Wars mini-series, Star Wars: Ahsoka, which debuts on August 22.
