The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Gets Big Patch to Address PC Performance Issues | Gametides

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launched with various issues that made it difficult to play. Developer Daedalic Entertainment has now released a new patch for the PC version to address these problems.

The patch includes fixes for issues such as quest markers disappearing, non-interactable objects, checkpoint system bugs, and more.

Specific issues, such as the bell in ‘Thranduil’s Halls – Cellars’ being automatically placed before players had the chance to, preventing progression, have also been fixed.

The extensive list of changes for the PC version can be found on the Gollum Steam page. It is unclear whether these changes will be implemented in the console versions of the game.

Daedalic Entertainment had previously apologized for the game’s issues and promised to address them as soon as possible. The release of this patch is a step in the right direction.

It remains to be seen whether this patch will completely resolve all of the performance issues in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. However, the extensive nature of the patch notes suggests that it is a significant improvement.

Players who have experienced the game can share their thoughts on its performance in the comments section below.
