Obtaining high-quality armor in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a challenging task. While decent gear is not rare, finding the best items requires effort. One crucial component for crafting top-tier armor is Mithral ore. In this article, we will guide you on how to obtain Mithral ore in Baldur’s Gate 3.
There are two locations where you can find Mithral ore in Baldur’s Gate 3. The first is southwest of the Ancient Forge Waypoint (X: -645, Y: 257). However, be cautious as reaching the ore near the Ancient Forge requires jumping across lava rocks to a small platform. The second location is near the Adamantine Forge (X: -555, Y: 278), but beware of the Magma Mephits guarding the area.
Mithral ore is easily identifiable by its large boulders with light blue mineral veins. It is immune to elements like fire and cold, so you will need to use melee or ranged attacks to break the ore stone. Once broken, you will find small chunks of Mithral on the ground for your characters to collect.
To convert the Mithral ore into usable gear, you will need to insert a mould into the forge’s mould chamber. After that, you can start the weapon-making process using the ore. Keep in mind that the Adamantine Forge’s guardian will pose a threat, so be prepared for a tough fight.
