Activision Allows Content Transfer from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3 | Gametides

Activision has announced that players will be able to carry over most of their collected Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 content to Modern Warfare 3. This marks the first time in the history of Call of Duty that such a vast amount of content from a previous game will transfer to the next installment.

According to Activision’s blog post, the majority of content currently available in Modern Warfare II and Warzone will be accessible in Modern Warfare 3. This includes weapons, cosmetic content such as Bundles and Operators, and other rewards and unlocks.

However, there are exceptions. Content related to gameplay features that may not be present in Modern Warfare 3 will not carry over. For example, if a specific vehicle or equipment is not included in Modern Warfare 3, any unlocked skins for those items in Modern Warfare 2 will not be available in the third game.

Additionally, Wartracks from Modern Warfare 2 will not transfer to Modern Warfare 3. There will also be no ‘carry back’ feature, meaning anything unlocked in the third game cannot be accessed in the second.

On the other hand, all unlocked Operators, Operator Skins, weapons, Blueprints, attachments, Weapon Camos, Charms, Stickers, Emblems, Loading Screens, Calling Cards, and Vehicle Skins will carry over from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3. This includes content that was previously available only for a limited time.

Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is set to be released on November 10. The game aims to be both a standalone, full-price release and an extension of Modern Warfare II, according to Bloomberg’s sources.

Fans of Modern Warfare 2 can look forward to a seamless continuation of their progress and collection in the upcoming Modern Warfare 3. With most content being transferable, players can retain their unlocked weapons, cosmetics, and rewards, providing a sense of continuity and investment in the beloved gaming franchise.
