Alan Wake 2 Release Date Pushed to Allow for Better Player Experience | Gametides

Fans eagerly awaiting the release of Alan Wake 2 will have to exercise a little more patience, as the game has been delayed by 10 days. Originally scheduled for release on October 17, the new release date is now set for October 27.

While the developer, Remedy Entertainment, did not provide a specific technical reason for the delay in their press release, they stated that October is already packed with highly anticipated game launches. By pushing the release date, they hope to give players more space to enjoy their favorite games during this exciting month.

The decision to delay the release is likely influenced by the fact that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder are both set to launch on October 20. By moving Alan Wake 2 a full week outside of this timeframe, players will have more breathing room to dive into these highly anticipated titles before delving into the dark and mysterious world of Alan Wake.

Alan Wake 2 takes place 13 years after the events of the original game and features two main protagonists: Alan Wake, the titular author, and FBI agent Saga Anderson. While Saga investigates a murder case in the Pacific Northwest, Alan finds himself trapped in the nightmarish realm known as The Dark Place, where he has been since the conclusion of the first game. Players will have the opportunity to switch between both characters and experience their unique stories at their own pace. Remedy has emphasized that the sequel is a true survival horror title, promising thrilling and intense gameplay.

The highly-anticipated game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Fans of the franchise can look forward to immersing themselves in the atmospheric world of Alan Wake once again when it finally launches on October 27.
