In the vast world of Baldur’s Gate 3, there is no shortage of treasure waiting to be discovered. While most of it can be easily found, some treasures require a bit more effort to access. One such treasure is the Harper Stash. This guide will walk you through the steps of accessing the Harper Stash in Baldur’s Gate 3.
To begin your quest for the Harper Stash, you must first reach the Underdark, which becomes accessible during Act 1. The Underdark is a dangerous area filled with secrets, and one of those secrets is the location of the Harper Stash. It is hidden near Grymforge and guarded by monsters. You must defeat these monsters and then disarm and unlock the stash to access its contents.
To reach Grymforge, start by heading south from the Myconid Colony, which is located northwest of the Selunite Outpost. Eventually, you will reach the Beach waypoint. It provides detailed instructions on reaching the Selunite Outpost entrance, which is the recommended entrance to Grymforge.
Once you arrive at the Beach waypoint, follow the shoreline until you come across the Underdark Duergar Boat. Board the boat and sail into the darkness. Along the way, you will encounter another boat with military personnel. Talk your way out of a fight, and they will take you to Grymforge.
In Grymforge, head up the stairs past the Grymforge waypoint. Keep climbing until you reach a large plaza on the upper level. From there, go right and follow the path that leads to a series of rocky ledges. Ascend the ledges until you come across a campfire and a red tent near stone columns.
Continue left from the tent and follow the path downhill, veering to the left. As you approach the end of the ledge, the Cragged Rock will appear, outlined in white. Interact with it to descend to a lower platform.
Descend further and reach the edge of a cliff. Here, you will find a suspicious treasure chest. Investigate the chest, but be cautious as it is a Mimic. Defeat the level three monster and its summoned cohorts. Once the monsters are defeated, save your progress.
Now, examine the Toy Chest item near the right edge of the cliff. Using the miniature chest will reveal the larger chest – the Harper Stash. However, be aware that the stash is trapped. Use a Trap Disarm Toolkit to disable the trap, and then use the Thieves’ Tools to pick the lock.
Once you have successfully disarmed the trap and picked the lock, you can finally access the Harper Stash. Inside, you may find valuable items such as a Scroll of Evidence, 17 gold, an Arrow of Ice, and a Grease Bottle.
If you find yourself in the Grymforge area without the necessary tools to access the Harper Stash, don’t worry. You can purchase them from a local merchant on the upper level using the gold you have collected throughout your journey.
