During the recent Pokemon Presents, we got a glimpse of two new Paradox Pokemon for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Paradox Pokemon are Pokemon displaced in time thanks to the mystery of Area Zero. In Scarlet, players encounter prehistoric versions of Pokemon like Jigglypuff and Volcarona. Meanwhile in Violet players encounter roboticized and futuristic variants of Pokemon like Gallade or Delibird. These Pokemon have different typings and are more powerful than their modern counterparts.

Recently, one of the Legendary Dogs from Gen 2 Suicune, and Virizion from Gen 5’s Swords of Justice got Paradox versions. Suicune is reimagined as a stalking raptor called Walking Wake, and Virizion is roboticized as Iron Leaves.

Now it seems Raikou and Cobalion are getting the same treatment. There’s a robotic Cobalion and Raikou is reimagined as a long-necked thunder monster (likely inspired by the Kirin of Japanese folklore).

Entei and Terrakion are nowhere to be seen just yet, but it’s safe to assume they’re coming.

The recent Pokemon Presents event provided Pokemon fans with an exciting sneak peek into the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Among the highlights were the introduction of two intriguing new Pokemon known as Paradox Pokemon.

Paradox Pokemon are unique creatures that have been displaced in time due to the mysterious phenomena of Area Zero. In Pokemon Scarlet, players will have the chance to encounter prehistoric versions of familiar Pokemon such as Jigglypuff and Volcarona. On the other hand, Pokemon Violet will feature roboticized and futuristic variants of Pokemon like Gallade and Delibird. These Paradox Pokemon possess different typings and are notably more powerful than their contemporary counterparts.

The recent reveal showcased the Paradox versions of Suicune from Generation 2 and Virizion from Generation 5’s Swords of Justice. Suicune, the legendary dog Pokemon, has been reimagined as the formidable Walking Wake, a stalking raptor that strikes fear into the hearts of its adversaries. Virizion, on the other hand, has undergone a robotic transformation and now goes by the name Iron Leaves.

Excitingly, it appears that two more Legendary Pokemon, Raikou and Cobalion, will also be receiving the Paradox treatment. A robotic Cobalion will join the ranks of these unique creatures, while Raikou will be portrayed as a majestic long-necked thunder monster, drawing inspiration from the mythical Kirin of Japanese folklore.

Although the whereabouts of Entei and Terrakion remain unknown for now, it is highly anticipated that these legendary Pokemon will also receive Paradox versions in due course.

As fans eagerly await the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the introduction of Paradox Pokemon brings a refreshing and intriguing twist to the beloved franchise. With the promise of encountering ancient and futuristic variants of beloved Pokemon, players can look forward to a unique and captivating gaming experience in the world of Pokemon.
