Exoprimal Could Receive Dino Crisis Content Based on Player Demand | Gametides

The possibility of Exoprimal featuring Dino Crisis content in the future has been revealed by its director, Takuro Hiraoka. Exoprimal’s storyline revolves around the emergence of vortexes on Earth, which release dangerous hordes of dinosaurs and genetically modified creatures known as ‘neosaurs’. Players control exofighters, special soldiers tasked with defeating these prehistoric enemies and dealing with the rogue AI, Leviathan.

During an interview with Siliconera, Hiraoka was asked whether Exoprimal could incorporate elements from Capcom’s dinosaur-themed Resident Evil alternative, Dino Crisis. In response, he stated that Leviathan, the AI character, is driven by the desire to gather valuable combat data. Hiraoka added that if there is enough demand from players, the incorporation of Dino Crisis content into Exoprimal could become a reality.

In addition to this potential collaboration, Capcom has already announced its plan to introduce ‘Capcom Collaboration’ content to Exoprimal. Starting with Street Fighter crossover content in the game’s second season, set to be launched in autumn 2023, Capcom will continue to expand the collaboration with Monster Hunter content in season 3.

When asked about other content Hiraoka would like to see in Exoprimal, he expressed a personal interest in a collaboration with the Mega Man series, which holds nostalgic value for him. Additionally, he mentioned the excitement of battling monsters from the fantasy world of the Dragon’s Dogma series.

Exoprimal was released on July 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also available on Xbox Game Pass. Within its initial two weeks, the game managed to attract 1 million players, as reported by Capcom.
