In a surprising turn of events, Ubisoft has announced that the highly anticipated next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, will be launching a week earlier than originally planned.
Fallout: New Vegas and Outer Worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment initially intended to create its upcoming RPG Avowed as a cooperative multiplayer game before returning to its single-player roots. In a documentary celebrating Obsidian’s 20th anniversary, studio head and founder Feargus Urquhart admitted that pushing for Avowed to be multiplayer was a mistake, recognizing it as the wrong decision in the end.
Take Two’s latest earnings report only has the barest direct mention of Grand Theft Auto 6, which says that active development is ‘well underway’ on GTA 6–the same wording Rockstar used when it announced the game over a year ago.
