Natural disasters are coming to Cities: Skylines 2, developers Paradox have confirmed. Previously only available as DLC in the first game, players will now have to contend with random events like forest fires, hailstorms, and tornados. The game’s emphasis on realism extends to its climate system, which includes new day and night cycles and specific seasons based on the player’s chosen region.
